Agave Blue Tequila & Taco Bar in Prairieville

Wow. What a great restaurant. IF YOU GO ON THE WEEKENDS, ASK FOR JACIEL OR CARRANZA. They are awesome waiters, very helpful and pleasant. We had chips and salsa, queso blanco and guacamole, beef fajitas, a frozen margarita and sopapillas for desert. Everything was delicious. Will definitely go back. Thanks, y'all!!!!

The salsa had too much cilantro or parsley... very bitter taste and kinda stale like chips... plus the wait to get our check was long. Grilled chicken and taco salad tasted great though

Food was excellent. Overall dining experience did not match up. The HVAC above our heads was dripping on us when we sat down. We informed two waiters. Neither apologized and the first did not even offer to try and move us. My wife is a vegetarian and tries very hard to not be difficult about it. The waitress was unable to answer some basic questions about the contents of the meal, and less than excited to find out. In fairness, they were very busy, and again, the food all did taste very good.

I crave the ceviche on a regular basis!

It’s a nice place, the flavor is good, if you like the Tex-mex flavor I think this is the best place around where you can get it! The barbacoa tacos are my favorit

Food had no flavor, and the tacos Al Carbon was just unseasoned cheap steak chopped up into big cubes and was not worth $13!! The large margarita was FULL of ice and literally was only 4oz of liquid. This is hands down the worse Mexican food restaurant I’ve ever been to. The kids chicken was the best food at the table.

We came here for the delicious, real fruit margheritas and Mother's day! I ordered a spinach quesadilla and watermelon, fresh mint leaf margherita. Delicious!

We dine here regularly. Always great food and service. $1 tacos on Monday and $2 tacos on Tuesday.

Food was excellent!! I had the steak fajitas and tons of chips and salsa. The chips were very fresh and clearly homemade. Their salsa was very flavorful as well. The margaritas with the champagne in them were amazing!! The portion sizes were huge and they even let us use the lunch menu on Saturday and most places don't. The restaurant only had 3 tables at the most while we were there. At one point we were the only table in there. Our waiter wasn't super attentive but he was nice. We had to go find him once and waited long periods of time for him to come back but when he did, he took care of everything.

This is the best place to chill at. STAFF IS AMAZING BETO is AWESOME!!!!been hanging here since it opened.

We ordered from here on Waitr, and they left out several pieces, including an entire meal. We called and left a message but no one called back. Eventually Waitr refunded the money for the missing items. This confirms for me the reviews of poor customer service.For the food, I can say that it’s OK, which for premium prices doesn’t work for me. Lots of people love food I’d consider adequate. If you’re another person who can tell the difference, this place isn’t for you.This was a chance to try a new local restaurant, and they blew it. Will I try it again? Maybe, but not for at least a year.

My word. Last night my family had takeout from here. I had the chimichangas and I was floored. Everything was neatly separated and delicious. Then I finished off the salsa and chips. The spice in the salsa kept you coming back for more. Fantastic!

First experience was 1 star, if that. Waited way too long for our order to be taken, waited way too long for the food to arrive-- was too full from the chips and salsa to eat our meals by the time they arrived. Boxed them up and tool them home.Would have been it for me, but my wife has been a few times and that was the only bad experience she had, so we went again. Much better this time. Dr I k order and food order taken very quickly, dinner order arrived to the table within ten minutes of ordering. Steak in the taco salad was well seasoned and tender, steak quesadilla was very good, and the fish tacos were also good. Overall, 3 stars based on the two experiences I had. Would not be opposed to going back, but still think Casa Maria is better.

Great authentic Mexican food. I love the tortilla soup. It's different than a lot of it I've had, but in a really good way. Good atmosphere and nice patio.

The atmosphere was nice. The food tasted awesome but the taco were rather small. Ritas were a good balance of flavor + power (not for light weights).

Not sure how anyone could give this place a positive review, unless they work there. The waitresses, all of them, speak almost no English, not sure how they could ever get an order right when there English is non functional. We ordered the fish Tacos and they put one tiny sliver of fish in the taco, when we complained it took literally pointing st the fish and holding our fingers together to communicate that the sliver of fish was Tiny. Ten minutes later after everything else was cold they brought out some more fish, I lie nearby and would love to have a good Mexican place nearby, unfortunately this Mexican restaurant is terrible!

Not terribly bad but certainly not good. Cold mole chicken tacos, ugh! A shrimp dish named Mazatlan that should have been in the salad section, loaded with unnecessary, undesirable garnishes. No drink menu, beer or wine list. Enthusiastic but inexperienced server. With the abundance of "Mexican" themed restaurants (not much you'd find in Mexico) I would look elsewhere.

My favorite place to go for an excellent variety of margaritas and the best fish tacos! The patio seating is very inviting and enjoyable. The food always comes out quickly no matter how busy they are. Excellent value on the AB Trio Appetizer, portions are very big and the quality is great!

I'm from CA. and the food here was pretty good! Although the salsa could use a little hint of garlic to enhance the flavor which is a tad on the bland side... other than that... real good food and yummy margaritas. They'd do well on the west coast!

Taste of Extreme south Tex/Mex here in south Louisiana.

First time eating here. It was excellent, we ordered togo.Went back again to dine in and has some appetizers and a quesadilla. Loved it! Will be back next time I'm in town.

Best Mexican food in a 30 mile radius, hands down.

Had the Plato Loco and it was excellent! Great service by wait staff Emily. The atmosphere, service and food all give Agave Blue a five star rating.

Taco Tuesday is my favorite day to go. The tacos are always good and so is the table side guacamole. The shrimp brochette is simply delicious. Sometimes service can be on the slow side.
